There are only a few ways that this novel connects with my life in a personal way, but I feel that they are still worth sharing.
The Da Vinci Code is all about about secret codes and puzzles. I can connect personally with this book because I loves puzzles and deciphering codes.
Although this is a vague connection, the book includes the Mona Lisa as part of Jacques Saunière's coded hunt around the Louvre. I recently completed a project in Photoshop class in which I merged the faces of the Mona Lisa and George Washington to create Mona Washington
The final way that The Da Vinci Code connected with me personally is through all of the reinterpretations of the catholic/christian faith. My family has never been super religious and therefore my brother has always been skeptical of the bible and the teachings of Christianity, just like Robert Langdon and Leigh Teabing!
